The Digital Product and Operations team located in Calgary, Alberta is currently seeking a Digital Content Coordinator to join their team. This position reports directly into the Manager, Ecommerce & Self-Serve.
As a Digital Content Coordinator and key contributor within the larger Digital Product and Operations Team, you will be responsible for managing, editing and publishing website content and digital assets for a variety of Shaw online properties. In addition to the execution of content to improve the online presence, you will work closely with the technical teams and internal stakeholders to maintain site and brand standards, identify development opportunities and drive sales while improving customer experience within the online channel. The Digital Content Coordinator is responsible to manage and execute rich content, possess a high level of creativity, an extraordinary attention to detail, and exceptional project/time management skills.
Scope of Role:
Responsible for day-to-day management and maintenance of digital content across a variety of applications, platforms and CMS systems
Support to day-to-day operations, regular release activity and the execution of projects and tactical plans
Coordinate, upload, update, and/or input various formats of digital content including but not limited to, reviewing, publishing and/or removing content, graphics and other medial files into various content management systems
Ensure the quality and consistency of digital content to maintain a credible, accurate and consistent presentation of information across all supported applications
Through established QA processes, guarantees all digital content meets established content standards and is error-free in the production environment
Works closely with technical team and website developers to assess, troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges
Collaborate with front/back end development teams for site/system maitenence and release activity
Operates within the technical framework of a content management system, however not directly responsible for the configuration or development of such systems
Liaises with cross-functional stakeholders and teams throughout the organization to ensure relevant and topical information is available for external online audiences
Documentation of process and reporting of activities and outputs
Other duties as assigned
Some early morning/evening/weekends will be required with the ability to work a flexible schedule
Delivery of highly productive content outputs, while maximizing capacity to meet high demand volume for business support
Uphold the highest quality standards and diligence associated content publishing
Working with relevant stakeholders to grow merchandising and acquisition strategies in order to grow online channel and support exceptional online customer experience
Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Diploma in a technology-related discipline with an emphasis on web-based technologies or equivalent work experience
+2 years managing and developing compelling digital content
Experience with customer-facing digital services and experiences
Familiarity with ecommerce and/or digital marketing and a solid knowledge of online best practices such as SEO, web design & development
Comprehensive knowledge of content management systems and technology platforms
Experience with database management and website development
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Strong computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
Excellent organization and time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Must be tenacious, competitive, detail and goal oriented
A self-starter with strong willingness to take on new challenges and provide practical solutions
Capable in quickly adjusting to changing priorities and responding to pressing demands
Experience working with cross-functional teams and solid relationship-management skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills, and strong attention to detail
