Sharethebus is looking for a FINANCIAL ANALYST to join our Finance team.

Sharethebus is a transportation technology company that allows event organizers to move large groups to their destination with ease. In the last year, they’ve moved hundreds of thousands of passengers for top music festivals, colleges, universities, and sports teams in North America.

An ideal candidate for this role is highly organized with the ability to multitask. You should be able to maintain a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail when preparing reports. We’re looking for someone who can work well both independently and within a team.

Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you would be responsible for performing the day to day accounting functions, including payables, receivables, payroll, sales tax reports and preparation of reconciliations for the monthly financial statements. In other words, you will own the complete cycle. You’ll have the opportunity to grow with the company as it continues to expand.

Responsibilities

Customer invoicing and managing accounts receivable

Posting supplier invoices and managing accounts payable

Payroll processing bi-weekly (using 3rd party service)

Preparation of bank reconciliations

Compiling and submitting quarterly VAT returns

Preparing monthly management accounts

Other analytical and admin duties

Requirements

University degree in Accounting/Finance

Hands-on experience with the XERO or QBB accounting system

3 to 5 years of relevant experience

Advanced working level of Microsoft Office Suite products and Google sheets

General IT proficiency – able to navigate in a cloud based environment

Previous startup experience

Experience booking a bus for any reason

Fluency in French and English
