Description: Opportunity If you are ready to lead multi-divisional teams through various challenges and obstacles to ensure successful delivery of strategically impactful projects, we’d like you to join our Enterprise Program Management team as a permanent, full-time Project Manager in Regina .SGI and SGI CANADA are growing with an aim to be a major P&C insurance provider in Canada. This role is responsible for managing a program of complex, multi-divisional projects needed to deliver on the strategic growth objectives for the organization. We need an effective professional who can provide strong leadership, direction and project management expertise to enable the successful implementation of major initiatives from strategic planning through to implementation. We are looking for a champion who supports continuous improvement and promotion of program and project management best practices, processes and tools. Key Accountabilities Program and Project Management & Delivery Using your experience in effectively directing and supporting diverse project teams, you will manage the scope of various projects to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost and quality standards, as well as identify, assess and appropriately manage all risks associated with the project. You will ensure project deliverables are transitioned and you will measure project performance to ensure desired business objectives are achieved. You will also manage external vendor relationships to define the statement of work and ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of products and services. Program and Project Planning Your natural ability to organize information and resourcing will be called upon to help us deliver our strategically aligned corporate projects. In this role you will facilitate the definition of scope, goals and deliverables. You will develop full-scale project governance documents, such as project charters, business cases, and cost-benefit analysis. You will also define key roles and responsibilities, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate resourcing. Program and Project Reporting To ensure successful implementation and follow up, you will track the progress, oversee resourcing, and manage and mitigate risks and issues associated with each project in your program. You will coordinate the collection and maintenance of project data for the corporation, and report on project status to the project team, management, and steering committee. Candidate Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of program and project management activities.
  • Knowledge of program and project management approaches and techniques.
  • Knowledge of corporate divisions/functions and how they interconnect.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of insurance.
  • Knowledge of vendor management practices
  • Facilitation skills.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative approach to program and project delivery.

Education & Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration/commerce, computer science, engineering or a related discipline.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
  • Eight years experience in leading project management activities for large projects.
  • An alternative combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.

Annual Salary Range: $85,488 – $113,976 Apply prior to 11:59 p.m. on: Thursday, September 15, 2016
