Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking (SGCIB) is the third-largest investment bank of the European Economic Area, and it is present in more than 75 countries worldwide. SGCIB’s Canadian subsidiary is based in Montreal and has about 100 employees. SGCIB has positioned itself as a leader in interest rate and currency derivatives on the Canadian market.

The SG Montreal Solutions Centre Inc. (“SG MSC”) group employs more than 230 people, providing IT solutions and services for operations based in New York, Paris and Asia, among others. SG MSC manages IT infrastructure as well as the development, integration, maintenance and improvement of a wide array of business applications.


Within the “MSC Studio” innovation lab, the intern will have the following responsibilities:

Research, design and develop automation robotics

Research, design and develop prediction models

Develop user interfaces

Create machine learning algorithms to automate various aspects of operations

Document processes so they can be replicated

Participate actively in all SG MSC innovation activities

Promote and communicate all new automation technology, and assist with decision-making, Big Data and artificial intelligence

The internship will last 4 months, with a salary of $18–21/hour depending on whether it is the applicant’s 1st, 2nd or 3rd internship.

Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computational sciences or engineering

Bilingualism: French and English

Permanent residence or Canadian citizenship


We are looking for developers in Cognitive Automation, who ideally have expertise in Natural Language Processing/Generation, OCR or Robotic Proce

Experience in web development is also an asset.

The position requires analytical skills and the desire to work in a team to assist every line of activity directly and work closely with the development and production support teams.

Technical experience

Computer programming: VBA, Python, R, etc.

Knowledge of machine learning and automation

Big Data, data handling and user interface tools

Algorithm and database management: SQL

Skills required
