Williams Energy Canada is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for their Calgary, AB location in response to growth!

Williams Energy Canada is the only processor of oil sands upgrader offgas in the world and the owner of the only fractionator capable of processing offgas liquids in Canada. Through our operations in Fort McMurray and in Sturgeon County near Edmonton, we are providing both significant environmental benefits and high-value oil and gas upgrading services to oil sands upgraders. With current investments of more than $1.6 billion, and employing over 100 people in the province, Williams presently produces 15,000 barrels per day of high-value natural gas liquids and olefins, much of which is sold across North America. Through recent addition of pipeline assets, current and future expansion projects, Williams is poised for continued growth and success in the Fort McMurray region.

The Senior Project Manager’s role is to oversee the execution of major projects including managing EPC contractors and owner stakeholders to ensure the successful development of midstream and petro-chemical facilities that meet strategic objectives.

Main Responsibilities

Provide leadership for Canadian development opportunities in accordance with Williams’ Project Life Cycle (PLC) and System Integrity Plan (SIP) to meet all requirements for safety, design functionality, schedule and cost in a timely and professional manner.
Identify, engage and coordinate input with internal and external stakeholders.
Develop optimized facilities utilizing the most recent industry engineering and design practices and implementation strategies to meet business objectives.
Develop execution plans and contracting strategies to ensure effective project development.
Understand and optimize economic drivers into facility designs that maximize Economic Value Added (EVA) over the life of the asset.
Develop and define project organization roles and structure and ensure appropriate staffing.
Ensure effective communications and reporting for all internal and external stakeholders as required.
Quickly baseline project scope then implement effective change management processes.

Skills & Requirements

Bachelor of Science (Engineering) Degree; Registered Professional Engineer.
At least 10 years of experience in Project Management of engineering, construction and commissioning of midstream and petro-chemical facilities and related equipment.
Possesses a positive attitude, is highly self-motivated, energetic, professional, passionate and reliable.
Proven ability to proactively and effectively communicate with various cross functional stakeholders.
Experience in dealing effectively and quickly with change in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
Ability to multi-task, exercise good judgment and prioritize workload through outstanding organizational skills.
