Site Description: The Niagara Health System (NHS) is Ontario’s largest multi-site hospital amalgamation comprised of seven sites serving 434,000 residents across the 12 municipalities making up the Regional Municipality of Niagara. The seven sites are Douglas Memorial Site in Fort Erie, Greater Niagara General Site in Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake Site, Ontario Street Site in St. Catharines, Port Colborne Site, St. Catharines General Site, and Welland Site.
Job Description: Working on assigned shifts, you will provide proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents. You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents, as well as respond to emergencies in a quick and efficient manner.
Prerequisites: At the time of the interview, applicants must be able to produce proof of completion of the following:
1. Immunization Record
2. Niagara Healths Immunization Screening Form
3. Successful completion of Healthcare Security Training (online or in class will be accepted)
4. Successful completion of Paladins online Dealing with Persons with Mental Illness
5. First Aid & CRP Level C
6. Use of Force
7. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
8. Basic Security Officer Training
9. A Valid Ontario Security Guard License
Position Requirements: Successful applicants will be required to complete the following courses:
1. Paladins online Customer Service
2. Paladins online Patrol Procedures
3. Paladins online WHMIS
4. Paladins online Note Taking and Report Writing
5. Additional courses as assigned
