Shreder Canada seeks a Field Application Engineer to support its growing sales team in the field of providing LED Lighting solutions and services. Purpose -Deliver technical sales submittals to customers. -Deliver Photometrical layouts and luminaire configuration support to customers and sales personnel. -Create 2D concept drawings based on customer specifications and accessory selections by customers.

• Verify fit up between Schreder luminaires with poles and brackets and provide drawings showing how they should be attached in the field. Main responsibilities -Coordinate with customers and sales personnel during the quotation and sales process on technical issues related to products, accessories, and customer specifications. -Provide photometric layouts and luminaire selection advise to sales personnel and customers. (AGI32 software, training included) -Anticipate and resolve customer technical issues prior to product installation.
• Support the engineering department by creating prints of components needed for specific customer requirements. -Follow up with customer post-sales to ensure proper installation of luminaires and customer expectations are being met. -Support Schreder outside sales personnel from a technical perspective in winning new sales projects. -Support the engineering and sales departments by developing variations of existing product to meet new customer specifications.

Required education/skills -University degree in industrial or technical field -2-3 years’ experience working in a electrical engineering or industrial design environment -Strong 3D CAD / software skills -Experience reviewing / processing customer requirements, tenders and quotations -Proven ability to provide technical solutions to customers Complementary education, skills and exposure -Photometric layout and software experience (AGI 32) -Technical sales experience -Manufacturing experience -Project Management certification / experience preferable
