Surrey is a diverse and progressive school district and is seeking interest from exemplary educators to join its leadership team as District Principal – Communicating Student Learning.

The District Principal will work as an integral part of the Education Services team, providing leadership and support of the district’s vision – Learning by Design .

The portfolio will focus on the integration of curriculum design, instructional practices, quality assessment, and how they find expression in communicating student learning. Further responsibility will include the aligning of digital resources with the redesigned BC Curriculum.

Applicants should have experience and/or demonstrated skills in:

the integration of technology into learning design;

the implementation of digital portfolios;

formal leadership experience at the school-level;

leadership in the areas of curriculum, instruction, and assessment, evaluation and reporting;

interpersonal and communications skills;

navigating complexity; and,

engaging with school communities and support capacity building.

Applicants should also have a:
Master’s Degree;

high degree of professional credibility; and,

commitment to innovative instructional practices, inquiry and collaboration.
