RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

· Performing various duties which include, but are not limited to:

- Providing customer services for the Center, including administrative support services, in a residential environment for marginalized individuals.

- Reporting occurrences and client issues to Residential Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate must have:

· Must have completed post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in a human services related program: Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, Independent Living Support Worker or related program. Ability to relate well to people and function under pressure. Must demonstrate a caring and compassionate attitude. Should have excellent communication skills – verbal, written and computer – and be able to work well in team setting. Experience working with addictions and mental health preferred.

· Must be available to work shift work and weekends as needed.

· Have current certification in First Aid & CPR, Non-violent Crisis Intervention, and provide a current Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check and have cleared the Salvation Army child Abuse Registry.

·The job requires lifting/twisting/bending, and will require sitting and standing for long periods of time.

SALARY/GRADE:

· Wage: $16.60/Hour
