Position Overview:
The location of this position is flexible. The Customer Insight Manager will support RSA in generating insights into the drivers of customer/broker satisfaction and loyalty and use this to drive, design and deliver initiatives to optimize customer/broker value. This role will primarily manage insight projects, including management of external vendors, development of research methodologies and tools, project deliverables and presentations to internal teams.

What you will achieve in this role
• This role is primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day customer/broker insight needs of key business stakeholders. The individual in this role will work with internal stakeholders to understand research needs and ensure those needs are adequately communicated in market research briefs.
• This individual will be required to lead procurement of research, including management of RFP and/or supplier selection. Following selection, the individual will manage external suppliers to deliver on research needs, working with the Director to analyze and challenge research outputs to transform customer data into actionable business plans.
• Working autonomously, this role will be required to gather, maintain and analyze data from multiple sources. In addition to primary data gathering, the individual may be required to source consumer trend information through syndicated studies, with ability to lead in explanation and interpretation of data to provide insight to a broad range of colleagues to facilitate the embedding of the customer agenda.
• Management of both qualitative and quantitative customer/broker primary research methodologies
• Engagement/management of external suppliers in rolling out insight initiatives and constructively challenging them on the insight given
• Work with internal IT teams to access customer/broker data, and facilitate secure and timely transition of data to external suppliers
• Effective and efficient delivery of insight regarding customer needs & trends, proposition performance, and competitor strategy & performance
• Preparing presentations to stakeholders, including integrating research from various reports and providing insight and commentary to business documents where required
What you bring to this role
University degree in related discipline (marketing, business research, etc)
• 4 – 6 years of business experience in a customer focused environment
• Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in market research and analytics, including ability to generate insights from raw data or multiple data sources
• Experience managing market research, including qualitative and quantitative techniques
• Good knowledge of Project Management practices
• Strong communication and presentation skills, oral and written
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
• Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and SPSS
