Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to assume an Accident Benefits Adjuster II position. The successful candidates will be responsible for adjusting claims handled out of the Atlantic Claims office, in Dartmouth, NS. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of claims handling experience. The successful candidate must be proficient in investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement of claims.

What you will achieve in this role

The successful candidate will be accountable for investigating, adjusting, negotiating, and settling assigned Auto Accident Benefit Claims.
Additional key responsibilities for this position include:
– providing effective “preferred service” to clients
– interviewing and corresponding with clients to ensure completion within time lines
– collecting evidence to support claims
– engaging the services of legal or forensic specialists
– payment of claims within their designated authority level
– supporting and driving expense management in the region

What you bring to this role

A minimum of three (3) years of Section B adjusting experience will be required for the Adjuster II role, and:
– exceptional customer focus, excellent people and communication skills and the ability to build relationships
– excellent influencing and negotiation skills acquired through several years of claims adjusting
– strong analytical and problem solving ability
– excellent organizational and planning skills
– proficiency in PC applications (Microsoft Office) is required
– Post secondary certificate or diploma
– CIP completed or in progress
– Candidate must qualify for a NL, NB and PEI adjusting license
