Pay range: $20-25 per hour depending on qualifications and experience

The Client:
The client is an international financial institution that provides personal and business banking services for all of the financial needs of their customers all across the globe. They are organized within four business groups: Commercial Banking; Global Banking and Markets (investment banking); Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking.

Job Description:
The successful Junior Cash Payment Officer will analyze and investigate back payments and risk associated with potentially AML risk customers, based on customer profile and identified transaction activity. Recommend and undertake supplemental enhanced due diligence when required, including escalation of suspicious activity to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).

What you will achieve in this role:

  • Clearing and reviewing back payments
  • Review, complete, and validate missing EDD information and conduct periodic reviews of customer profiles for Commercial and Retail customers.
  • Perform research using external and internal resources.
  • Document reviews in case management system, in accordance with established standards and processes. Monitor individual quality of work and improve on a daily basis.
  • Manage the case queue and identify bottlenecks with downstream teams or clients, working with them to complete requests and reduce the number of outstanding requests

What you must bring to this role:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1 to 2 years of Payments and direct AML analysis in an operational setting with specific responsibilities to investigate clients and documentation of conclusions
  • 2 years Banking or Financial experience
  • Demonstrated success delivering in a high-volume, goal-based production/operations-based environment
  • Preferred additional experience in retail operations or retail banking experience in the following: payments, investigative, legal, fraud
  • Ability to make sound business decision, pays close attention to detail and can multitask efficiently
