Controller- Part-Time (15-20 hours per week)

Key Job Functions:

  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information and key performance indicators
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
  • Maintain effective controls necessary to ensure accurate and complete reporting
  • Provide guidance for financial improvement
  • Preparation of annual budget and cash flow projections
  • Payroll processing and benefit administration
  • Preparation of customer invoicing, accounts receivable and review of credit applications
  • Vendor posting and payments
  • Statutory filings with government organizations – payroll, GSTS, PST, WCB
  • Inventory cycle counts and tracking movement of inventory through the production cycle
  • Tax return schedules (annually)
  • Assist in SR&ED claims
  • Loan documentation and management
  • Business case analysis for any expansion plans/new products etc.
  • Collaborate with the department managers to support overall department goals and objectives
  • Prepare and analyze various reporting for CFO, Business Director and other stakeholder



  • CPA designation (CMA or CA legacy designations are equivalent)
  • 5+ years experience in manufacturing environment
  • Previous management experience
  • Full cycle accounting experience
  • Will be the primary internal contact for generating year end tax return backup

  • Experience creating and maintaining standard costing – asset
