Responsible for HR, Payroll & Time and Attendance (T&A) data manipulation and analysis to support HR and business metrics. Extract and compile data from the HRIS, Payroll (ADP), Kronos T&A system and other related systems, and transform it into information useful for understanding business issues and solving business problems.

Support the HR team and our internal client groups by providing reporting and analytical expertise on an ongoing basis and for special projects and initiatives. Provide back-up support to Absence Management Coordinator.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze data, compile information and generate reports which are distributed to Regional Directors, Store Managers and Head Office Department heads
  • Prepare and distribute regular/scheduled metrics for various users and purposes, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and on time.
  • Recognize patterns and trends. Analyze outcomes and work with HR managers and line of business partners to recommend solutions. Examples of regular reports include monthly HR metrics reports (turnover statistics, full-time/part-time ratio Vs average rate metric, etc.), regional status listings by region, management rosters, etc.
  • Respond to ad hoc report request by analyzing user requirements, compiling data information and provide comprehensive report to need business needs in a timely manner
  • Provide administrative support to Salary Planning and Incentive processes, ensuring the letters are created and distributed to all affected employees
  • Administer Service Awards program by compiling annual eligibility list and responsible for ongoing maintenance of the eligibility file.
  • Perform data auditing periodically to ensure data integrity; analyze data error pattern and recommend solution to improve data quality.
  • Coordinate with Payroll to solve any data issues as result of data auditing
  • Back-up to Total Compensation Specialist & Absence Management Coordinator
  • Prepare and distribute Weekly Activity Report to HR and operations.
  • Assist in the annual distribution of employee Total Rewards Statements.
  • Assist the Specialist, Pension & Benefits with the annual enrollment processes
  • Assist in the preparation of benefit enrolment packages for eligible employees and ensure that forms, booklets, pamphlets, and packages are kept up to date and that there are sufficient quantities on hand
  • Execute and support the Recognition and Service programs as well as the Employee Purchase Program
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support KATZ Group Canada Ltd.

Required Skills Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • 2-3 years College diploma in relevant discipline. Formal training in statistics and statistical analysis a strong asset. Post-graduate certificate in Human Resources or another relevant discipline is an asset.
  • 2+ years experience in a similar role is required.
  • Demonstrated analytical strength and problem-solving skills are required, aptitude for numbers, as are good judgment and ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure and to meet the deadlines is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to interact appropriately across the organization and to build and maintain strong working relationships based on trust, integrity, and delivery on commitments.
  • Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Power Point, Access as well as ADP Payroll, [email protected], Kronos, Smith reports, Crystal reports, Lotus Notes and Internet.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of concepts, collective agreements and company policies.
