The purpose of this position is to paint molded helmets and mandibles as well as o ther products.

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Operate an air-powered painting system, paint booth exhaust system, paint mixing equipment, drying oven, pallet jack. Comply with written Work Instructions. Comply with general safety rules involving use, care and disposal of hazardous waste. Ensure production documentation is accurate and complete. State the specifications for the paint used to paint shells. Draw supplies and mix paint. Draw work from production area. Place shells or products on racks. Inspect products for defects and place defective ones in designated Non- Conformance bins. Apply mixed paint to shells. Move painted shells into and out of drying oven. Clean painting equipment. Clean-up work area. Personally uphold the standards for safety, work performance, quality, waste and attendance. Maintain the production area in a neat and orderly fashion, utilizing downtime effectively. May have to apply compound, sand and retouch products for appropriate surface finish. Wear eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, apron/smock, respirator and other Personal Protective Equipment as required. Maintain a positive working relationship with team members and foster spirit of cooperation and teamwork throughout the plant. Work with other areas to coordinate production of products. May be assigned Additional Duties and tasked to assist other areas as the workload demands.

Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements D iploma in furniture painting or the equivalent. 2 to 3 years’ of pertinent experience in this field. Ability to speak, read and write in English . Needs to be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Work environment ( include physical requirements ) Ability to perform repetitive tasks. Respirator or PAPR Hood required . Eye protection required. The paint is waterborne but the use of a respirator is required . Some travel may be required between Revision facilities .
