Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations, the Director is responsible for delivering and implementing the Strategic goals and objectives of the organization by ensuring RC Standards of Quality, Service Excellence as an employer of choice throughout our operations as well as ensuring success in all performance and accountability metrics within a designated regional portfolio. As a senior leader in the organization, this is achieved through strong leadership, mentorship, support and oversight of a designated number of facilities within their portfolio.

The Director will have a particular focus on ensuring their site portfolios maintain the following as core deliverables: the quality and safety of all residents, staff and guests; adherence to Direct Care Hour (DCH) accountability; fostering a culture of service excellence and; achieving a high degree of i) family and resident satisfaction and staff engagement and ii) sound, sustainable labor management strategies.

The Director will direct and provide support to the site General Manager (GM) and Clinical Leaders, the Health Authority and all stakeholders within his/her portfolio to ensure that RC delivers consistent, high quality person-focused care, as well as customer service and satisfaction and active and participatory community engagement. Optimizing site occupancy will be a key deliverable for the GM, with accountability to the Director.

In addition, the Director will be involved in leading, developing, communicating, and implementing key company-wide initiatives aimed at optimizing quality of care, service excellence, strong stakeholder relationships and exceptional performance.

A Master’s level of education in a field related to health care management; supplemented with seven (7) to ten (10) years recent related, progressively responsible leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.


1. Regular travel to facilities within assigned portfolio (up to 60% of the time).
2. Periodic stays near facility site locations as operationally required or as directed by Senior Director, Operations or designate.
3. Valid BC Driving License
