Purpose of the role:
The primary purpose of this role is to support underwriting and data entry of credit applications in a fast paced environment that requires a service level turnaround time of 20 minutes for our merchants. This role is also responsible for the support and back up for collections of all delinquent accounts that are 1 to 59 days past due.

Scope:
Performs duties independently, prioritizing work flow to best service our merchants. All Retail policies and procedures govern this role and may require some interpretation and guidance from the Credit Manager or VP. Is responsible for attention to detail, thoroughness, confidentiality and a high level of service, where failure to perform effectively and efficiently could have a negative impact resulting in lost merchant business.

Data Entry- Applications

  • Responsible for entering credit applications for all business lines in keeping within our 20 minutes service level commitment and Retail guidelines
  • Conduct property search through Teraview when necessary through Home Improvement or HVAC programs to confirm homeownership
  • Responsible for collecting, tracking and responding to Financial Institutions, lawyers, and customers for requests for postponements with Management signoff.

Collections –Support and Back-Up

  • Conduct calls on delinquent accounts that are 1 to 59 days past due
  • Responsible for making payment arrangements with customers to bring their account up to date
  • Achieve the goal of .6% of all business excluding the water tank/HVAC rental business

Risk & Compliance

  • Responsible to confirm we have proper ID on the contract (1 piece of primary or 2 pieces of secondary) before application is entered into RC2003 or Online Portal (FIS)
  • Responsible to confirm all required signatures are on contract and paperwork before application is entered into RC2003 or Online Portal (FIS)(customers signatures and merchants signatures)
  • Responsible to confirm the contract & paperwork have completed loan details
  • All other duties as assigned

Special Considerations:
In order to meet our customer service standards all employees may be signed on the Credit Line Queue when required

Due to the nature of the business shift-work may be required, and may change from time to time to address business requirements

Education:
University degree

Related Experience:
2 years related credit underwriting experience

2 years related collection experience

Specialized Experience:
Good understanding of credit adjudication

Strong collection ability

Strong negotiation skills

Strong orientation to multi-tasking, juggling priorities and daily interruptions

Ability to function independently

Effective implementation and organization skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in word and excel

I nnovative with strong initiative, decision making and problem solving capabilities

or proceed with Standard Application Form.
