Job Summary

Position – Temporary Human Resources Manager

We are looking for a temporary part time 1 month position for a Human Resources Manager to help with recruitment and interviewing for a company that is rapidly growing and full of opportunity. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the HR Manager will be will be involved in resume reviews, pre-interview by phone, and interviews in person with the support of the RES Team and Managers to ensure all new staff will need to fit the values, criteria and strategic growth initiatives of RES.

Other pieces will be worked on with the support of a small team, so the ideal candidate will be able to function both independently and as a part of a team. Primary duties will include recruiting and screening new hires. Longer term employment may be available.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, as well as the on-boarding process of all employees.
  • Develop and post job postings.
  • Manage immigration issues in a timely and appropriate manner for staff that we need from outside Canada.
  • Computer skills (Word; e-mail; presentation software; knowledge of and ability to use databases and spreadsheets).
  • Proven ability to multi-task.
  • Administer recruitment transactions such as posting positions, booking pre-employment tests and verifying references.
  • Prepare letters and other required documentation for offers of employment, position changes, discipline and other employee relations matters.


  • University Degree in Business focusing on Human Resources
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in human resources or business related field.
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of human resource management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships throughout an organization.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Familiar with labor laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to uphold confidentiality and manage sensitive situations with tact.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in dynamic environments.
  • Solid knowledge of labour and human rights regulations is required. General knowledge of International regulations is also an asset.
