The Renfrew County and District Health Unit has an opening for a Health Promoter in the Health Promotion and Family Health Division.

General Duties: The Health Promoter shall work with the Health Unit staff and community partners to plan, develop, implement and evaluate health promotion, prevention and protection activities as assigned.

Qualifications: Four year Baccalaureate degree with emphasis on health promotion,

or a related health discipline;

Experience utilizing health promotion strategies in community settings;

Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;

Experience with social marketing strategies and media relations;

Excellent presentation skills;

Computer skills;

Valid Ontario Driver’s License and own vehicle.

Health promotion experience and/or Master’s degree in health

promotion would be considered assets

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Salary: $37.85 to $43.48 /hour

Experience:

• Baccalaureate degree with emphasis on health promotion: 4 years

Education:

• Master’s Degree
