What is the opportunity?
As a Collections Officer you will work to minimize the bank’s exposure to loss. You will communicate directly with customers to collect on outstanding debt, and ensure a balance between quality Customer Care and effective collection techniques.
What will you do?
Apply your collections experience as a Medium Risk Collector in the early stage department.
Collect effectively for an assigned portfolio of RBC Financial Group products.
Communicate with customers to obtain relevant information and reach a mutual agreement for the payment of their debt.
Evaluate each situation and decide if RBC’s products are at risk and take appropriate action.
What do you need to succeed?
Collections experience and knowledge of collections procedures.
Knowledge of various related applications, such as: TS2, CACS, Sales Platform, CART, Lyricall, Empower, OLBB/OLMS and TalentLink.
Ability to prioritize and handle volume calls while maintaining a professional and personable approach.
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve by active listening.
High level of comfort with Windows-based software and various internal systems.
Professional interpersonal and communication skills.
Committed to delivering a superior client experience.
Proactive, innovative and have a sense of urgency.
Able to work shifts between 4pm-11pm, three to four nights Monday to Friday and 8am-7pm on Saturdays.
Willing to commit to a seven month contract in this part time role.
Previous call centre experience.
