What is the opportunity?

This internship will be integrated within the Institutional Client team at PH&N. As part of the Associate Analyst group supporting Institutional Clients, you will assist with all aspects of the Institutional Portfolio Manager function. This includes performing regular tasks and ad-hoc client specific work and special projects, including spreadsheet and slide creation and manipulation; as well as assisting with responding to queries from Institutional and internal groups, current and potential clients and industry consultant groups in order to provide timely client reporting and communication as needed.

What will you do?

Support responses for internal and external client requests in a timely manner
Utilize and become proficient with BondLab, a proprietary fixed-income software resource, and e-Lab, a proprietary equity software resource
Prepare mandate specific performance and attribution analysis (quarterly and on request)
Create and maintain databases, charts and slides
Prepare client reporting documents and slides (monthly, quarterly and on request)
Prepare reports relating to the activities of the Institutional department, for dissemination to the Institutional Portfolio Managers and other users
Assist in creating, formatting, writing, editing, and proof reading documents and presentations
Assist in gathering, processing and analysing materials for use in ad-hoc communications with clients and others

What do you need to succeed?
A keen interest in capital markets
Advanced computer skills with excellent working knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communications skills

Experience in the Investment Industry
Interest in the CFA program
Knowledge of Bloomberg
