We are presently seeking an Engineering Technologist to provide engineering support to test equipment for the Airborne Program CF18 Radar and future projects for Naval, Airborne and Land Systems support programs. Raytheon Canada Limited repairs and overhauls various military systems using legacy and modern automatic test equipment. This position will be responsible for support of existing test equipment including both hardware and software, and support acquisitions and development of test equipment and test capability for existing and future programs.

Job Duties:
§ Provide support to repair lab personnel to fault isolate and diagnose hardware problems on test equipment.
§ Provide support to repair lab personnel to fault isolate and diagnose software problems on test equipment.
§ Perform studies and make recommendations with respect to upgrading software and hardware to resolve testing issues, supportability issues and additional test capabilities.
§ Support upgrades to correct or enhance test software.
§ Support upgrades to test equipment hardware to maintain and enhance test capabilities.
§ Responsible for ensuring that hardware and software engineering tasks are performed in accordance with Raytheon Canada Limited engineering policies and procedures.
§ Liaise with the repair lab operations staff to ensure that program operational and contractual requirements are being met.
§ Support programs to meet other customer requirements. This will include technical investigations, integration development and program review meetings.
§ Occasional travel domestically and internationally in support of programs.
§ Support other engineering staff with product related technical issues.

Requirements:
§ Technology diploma or equivalent work experience
§ Minimum 4 years of experience in a technical maintenance or development environment.
§ Minimum 2 years experience working in a software maintenance or development environment.
§ Must have a technology diploma or equivalent work experience (discipline specific or related discipline).
§ Must be eligible to be registered as a Certified Technician or Technologist under the provincial Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta or equivalent in the province of practice.
§ Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
§ Must be able to work in a team environment.
§ Must be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
§ Relevant work experience with automatic test equipment systems would be an asset.
§ Experience with RF systems and test equipment would be an asset.
§ Experience with any of VXI, PXI, HP1000, HP9000, DEC PDP-11, DEC VMS architectures would be an asset
§ Experience with any of ATLAS, ADA, FORTRAN, Basic, HP Basic, ANSI C, C++, Java, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI or TestStand would be an asset.
§ Advanced knowledge with MS Office, MS Project and MS Visio would be an asset.
