JOB DESCRIPTION:

Westmont Hospitality Group is seeking an enthusiastic individual for the position of Tour Coordinator to join our team at the Quality Hotel Harbourview, St. John’s, NL.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Making all appropriate arrangement prior to tour group arrival
• Check to ensure Sign backs and Deposits are received
• Confirm payment information, meal requirements, baggage requirements, arrival & departure information and punch reception
• Enter Rooming List
• Ensure correct number of people listed per room
• Review all meal & rooming list details
• Arrange baggage personnel
• Create breakfast vouchers (if required)
• Create Welcome letters
• Prepare welcome speech (checking weather information & current events)
• Tour Escort gift
• Liaise with Housekeeping to ensure all rooms are ready for group’s arrival.
• Meal requirements must be confirmed and entered on the tour group monthly form.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Minimum 1 years’ experience in customer service
• Excellent guest service skills
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used by guests visiting the workplace.
• Must be flexible to work any day of the week and on weekends

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Heavy lifting required
• Standing for long periods of time
