  • Master’s Degree in a related science field required.
  • An equivalent combination of a Bachelor’s Degree and experience in drug regulations may be considered.
  • A minimum of 2 years working or training in a clinical Radiopharmacy or pharmacy.
  • Advanced radiopharmaceutical or pharmacy quality assurance skills with at least 2 years of experience in regulatory pharmaceutical or radiopharmaceutical quality control and quality assurance required.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the current Canadian regulatory framework relative to all aspects of radiopharmaceuticals, program and project planning and evaluation skills required.
  • Demonstrated supervisory, project planning and execution skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop effective partnerships, promote networking and team building, and work effectively as part of a supportive team.
  • Eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist in the Province of Manitoba would be an asset.
  • Required to be designated as a Nuclear Energy Worker relative to applicable Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) legislation.
  • Preference will be given to candidates competent in an Aboriginal language and/or knowledge in Aboriginal customs, beliefs, and practices.

Duties:

Under the direction of the Director of Radiopharmacy, the Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating and maintaining all aspects and components of a quality assurance program for the Radiopharmacy Department that are required by Health Canada to satisfy Drug Establishment Licensing and current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations.

Under the direction of the Head of Radiopharmaceuticals Research Group, the Quality Assurance Coordinator participates in hands-on research work of the RRG, assists with the planning and execution of scientific research and/or critical development strategies; and as delegated is responsible for the successful application to Health Canada for licensing of products and devices.
