QM LP’s Contracts Department is the latest addition to our business to support its vision in creating a sustainable and growing organization. The Contracts Department provides support in a diverse range of areas, such as reviewing bid and contract documents, negotiating contracts, and providing contracts support to project teams. To support our growing business and as a key member of the Contracts Department, the Contract Management Assistant will support the current team in delivering superior legal and administrative support to the business.

This is a full-time, part-time position. Must be available and flexible for vacation coverage

Hours of Work: Flexible, 4-5 hours per day, 5 days per week.

Transportation: Must own a vehicle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Day-to-day support of the Contracts Department.
Support bond application process for timely bid submission.
Support and participate in the contract review process.
Review standard contracts for compliance.
Assistance with closing contract execution.
Maintaining contracts documentation.
Preparing legal letters and correspondence.
Manage company registration, legal documents and annual filings
Support Business License Applications as required.
Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing and copying.
Back-up support to the Executive Assistant.

QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary education; diploma in Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or related field an asset.
2+ years’ experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant and/or Paralegal.
Knowledge of, and proficiency in, Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in a construction or other project-based industry considered an asset
Exceptional writing, typing, editing and verbal communication skills.
Superior organizational, time management and multitasking abilities.
Detail-oriented and ability to interact effectively with internal customers.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Demonstrates initiative to manage deadlines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily in an office environment.
