We’re looking for a hip and passionate communications and social media guru to help us drive brand awareness to the next level. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for building Prospera’s social engagement both internally and externally as well as promoting brand and product offering awareness by helping to create and implement cutting edge, cost effective online and social media marketing campaigns as well as paid and organic search activities (SEO). You will be a key creator of written content and responsible for producing an array of copy for marketing collateral, internal communications, blog posts, the company intranet and the web.
You are a creative, tech-savvy online communications generalist who can support marketing activities, with a passion for what you do and an interest in using the latest social platforms. You are comfortable with social media (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) and have experience in setting up, maintaining and tracking the success of campaigns on multiple platforms. You also have experience with tools such as Google Analytics and scheduling solutions like Hootsuite or SproutSocial. As Prospera’s champion for all engagement with our digital audiences, you communicate with confidence and have proven you can master the tone and personality of a brand. You’re a spelling and grammar nerd and understand the power of communication. You are adventurous, competitive and driven to excel!

What You’ll Do
Create, edit, publish and share original content (text, images, videos) that supports the business and community engagement objectives of the credit union
Manage communities across various social platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube
Become the go-to in-house subject matter expert on social media and influencer marketing tools, processes, platforms and networks
Develop and manage editorial calendars for social media channels and execute campaigns in partnership with brand stakeholders
Monitor and participate in conversations, answering comments, acting as a mediator and interacting with members and followers
Analyze, review, and report on the effectiveness of social media campaigns in an effort to maximize results and drive engagement
Follow online marketing trends, new social media sites/platforms and make recommendations
Work closely with the Manager, Communications and the Marketing team to facilitate coordination between digital activities, public relations programs and creative campaigns
What You’ll Need
Degree or diploma related to communications, marketing, social media, or equivalent
Demonstrated and measurable success in leveraging social media and influencer marketing in a corporate, marketing or brand-building capacity
Strong editing background (text and video) and great writing skills
Ability to quickly adapt to new conditions, assignments and deadlines from multiple stakeholders
Expertise using Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Instagram
Experience with content creation and editorial development as well as video creation and editing
Understanding of social media reporting and analytics
Knowledge and experience using WordPress, Snapchat and YouTube a plus
High level of organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and respond to requests
Self-motivation and the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
A results-driven mindset as well as a strong sense of curiosity and the desire to learn and get better every day
Experience in the financial industry is an asset
