The Leasing Specialist will be responsible for the leasing process, from introduction to occupancy. This position requires flexible hours, some evenings, weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include but are note limited to:
- Meet with prospective renters and take them on tours of the units that interest them
- Prepare and execute leases in accordance with our property standards and regulations
- Conduct background tasks to qualify potential renters
- Follow up with prospective renters
- Present properties and provided amenities in a positive light to prospective tenants
- Act as a landlord for property owners and help them navigate the property market
- Advertise available properties using a variety of media and promoting materials
- Confirm rental application data and personal references
- Stay knowledgeable of the property market status
- Negotiate leasing terms and conditions and close deals
- Ensure proper maintenance and inspect properties periodically
- Establish rapport with tenants and provide personalized service
Requirements
- Proven track of self motivation
- 3+ years’ experience in leasing, hospitality or administrative work
- MS Office familiarity
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Persuasive with marketing and sales skills
- Customer service orientation
- High school diploma
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to multitask during busy periods
- Must have a driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
Job Type: Contract
