Who we are

Who we need
At Project X, we need a Marketing Assistant to execute and support the evolution of our brand. It’s a four-month contract with the the possibility of a permanent role. It’s an incredible opportunity to gain exposure and tons of hands-on experience in a Marketing role in the Tech world. It’s straight-forward, it’s ground-breaking, it’s insanely exciting and it’s flat out enviable. Here’s just a peek at what we expect:
Being proactive and superhero fast. You know what needs doing before we ask.This is an amazing opportunity and a foot in the door at a growing tech company. You aren’t going to mess this up by waiting for direction. You are going to take your super speed, your priority juggling and your insightful calculations and run with every project and task put in front of you or even near you.
Moving into a new office? T-shirts printed, e-flyers ready, photos primed for social media channels, Twitter buffer set.
Finally getting the green light to go public on an exciting deployment for a well-known client? Press releases coordinated, social media channels tuned, sound bites distributed, baseball hats already on heads.
Trade show coming up? Swag boxed, labelled and ready for shipping. Meetings booked with key members to gain insights. Postcards, business cards and (insert super creative idea here) ready for the printer.

As a Project X Marketing Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Creating, curating, distributing and promoting marketing collateral and content. You will:
Lead and assist in the distribution and delivery of marketing materials
Create and coordinate signage and other promotional materials

Supporting the Sales team in all activities. You will:
Prepare presentations and help with the creation of templates (in MS Office)
Assist with RFPs, LoEs, SoWs
Update Salesforce information as required
Being social. You will create, curate, coordinate, support and drive content to and through our social media channels. (Facebook, LinkedIn, blogs, Twitter).
Dressing for success, or rather dressing our reps, clients and anyone else wandering past our booth at tradeshows in memorable SWAG and other give away goodies.
Organizing Project X presence at all network and industry events i.e., Monthly Meetups; Annual trade shows; Networking events. You will:
Assist in the creation of signage
Create promotional materials
Execute on e-mail campaign
Develop online promotion
Coordinate event attendance for staff including hotels
Oversee packaging and shipment of collateral
Organization and execution of marketing programs

Creating and evolving of all PR related activities. You will:
Organize the online pressroom by keeping all information up to date, including all relevant press pages, media hits, images for download, etc. and in conjunction with the media and PR team
Create media kits and other related materials
Providing support as needed.

And, here’s what we are looking for, you have:
A diploma or degree in Marketing or Business along with recent co-op experience in a Marketing environment.
A creative flair and superior organization skills. You have an eye for design and an eye for detail. You can prioritize deadlines and juggle tasks. But you can also contribute design ideas and technical skills to campaign content.
An aptitude for acquiring new skills quickly and taking action. You don’t need to be told twice. Whether it’s learning Adobe InDesign or how to schedule a press conference, you’ve got this.
A 100wpm tapping speed. You are connected to multiple social media channels and you know how to capitalize that for business. You know how to write, optimize and upload, blog posts and other content. You have experience using social media for B2B Marketing: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook.
A thorough understanding of basic marketing principles and a realistic view of the world. You know that a lot of entry-level marketing is about shipping and delivering content and collateral on time. And you are happy to do it.
An easygoing, focused personality and a sense of humour. You can take direction and work with our team and for them.
Initiative and drive. You believe in anticipating what needs to be done and taking the initiative to take action. Sometimes literally. Those marketing materials aren’t going to pack themselves.
All of the basic administrative skills in an outstanding assistant: strong MS Office skills, superior organizational and communication skills, project planning knowledge.
