Overview Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of production activities, , and exercise your leadership to mobilize the staff within a non-unionized environment. You will need to work in a dynamic and changing environment, with a constant focus on continuous improvement. You will be responsible to perform all of your work by integrating all aspects QCDSM *. *QCDSM = Quality/Cost/Delivery/Safety/Moral Specific Accountabilities – Identify opportunities for improvement and rationalization of manufacturing costs, to contribute to the development of the strategic plan and to improve the performance of the plant; – Ensure implementation and execution of continuous improvement projects in respect to production activities.

Collect data and ensure that the desired results are achieved; otherwise take the necessary corrective action; – Review priorities to proactively take corrective action when necessary and ensure that downtime is minimized; – Oversee all employees and workers assigned to his sector, in accordance with the values of the company, applying leadership principles of the current program, and in a spirit of mobilization and achievement of results; – Ensure strict adherence to the production schedule in order to provide excellent service to all customers and to meet their expectations; – Ensure the implementation of hygiene, HACCP and food safety in accordance with the high standards of the company, to ensure food quality and safety of products manufactured. – Act as a representative of the company to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, Employee Handbook, particularly with respect to the rules of Health & Safety, managing timesheets, approvals of leave, etc. – Actively participate in the work of various committees related to production management, quality and health & safety; – Act proactively on a daily basis to reducee workplace accidents and incidents on production lines; – Perform other related duties as required by operations or requested by the immediate supervisor. Requirement – Post Secondary Education in Operations Management and a minimum of five (5) years experience in a similar position (any combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered); – Experience in an industrial automated manufacturing environment; – Experience in the food industry, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, an asset; – Good knowledge of the principles of continuous improvement and methodological tools for problem solving and leadership performance (PDCA, 5-why, SMED, Kaizen, Lean); – Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel); – Good analytical skills, able to identify opportunities for improvement and problem solving; – Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills; – Focus on results; – Autonomous, sense of initiative and resourcefulness; – Demonstrates leadership Working Conditions Notations – Flexible hours as needed
