On behalf of our client Procom is seeking a Trainer in its Canadian Office to work on the Hydrocarbon Value Chain (HCVC) program with a focus on supporting US Workstreams.
Trainer Job Details

The HCVC program is driving efficiencies and process improvements targeting enhanced Downstream margin opportunities.

The current focus of the program is the enhancement of planning and optimization for Downstream assets and associated value chains.

Specific Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Help the Canadian HCVC training program achieve the stated objectives
  • Create training plans within each workstream to meet on-going business requirements
  • Prepare all required training deliverables following the defined development processes and standards
  • Maintain and evolve end user training curriculum
  • Oversee training communications including presentations, email and website material
  • Work closely with the change management team to ensure an integrated approach
  • Develop and maintain training schedules for each location
  • Create course sessions and define the registration process to track participation
  • Monitor and report training registration statistics and course feedback to the project team and business areas
  • Provide support to end users via phone calls and emails as required
  • Plan and oversee training logistics, such as room bookings, computers, printing of course materials, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during training
  • Complete post-training activities; administer course evaluations, analyze and report results
  • Liaise with existing Training Administrators within each business area as required to support their end users and produce business-specific reports

Trainer Must Have Skills

  • 8-10 years’ experience working in a similar role
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience coordinating, developing and delivering training/skills improvement programs within a dynamic business environment
  • 5 years Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office, and particularly Excel skills are required
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; able to plan and manage a schedule
  • Self-directed and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple priorities

Trainer Nice To Have Skills

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree with focus on business administration, education, behavioural sciences or the social sciences
  • 1 year Downstream Oil and Gas experience
  • 1 year Experience administering users in a Learning Management System
  • Experience in WBT software such as Captivate
