On behalf of our client, Procom Consultants Group is seeking an Information Management and Records Analyst/Specialist to participate in the delivery of enterprise information management governance services.

Information Management and Records Analyst/Specialist Job Details

This position will participate in the delivery of enterprise information management governance services and in the design and delivery of information governance project deliverables for the Enterprise Content Management Program, including taxonomies, metadata schemas, and information management guidelines, processes and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders to review and analyze document and records collections and identify information management processes and workflows;
  • Develop business group metadata schemas for FileNet P8, Sharepoint and contribute to the development of an enterprise-wide taxonomy;
  • Perform information management assessments and offer recommendations to close gaps related to information management policy compliance;
  • Provide business expertise in the development and maintenance of documented processes, procedures, standards and guidelines;
  • Perform other tasks as required.

Information Management and Records Analyst/Specialist Mandatory Skills

Experience:

  • 7-10 years of information management experience;
  • 3-5 years of experience in a role emphasizing the development of processes and procedures for information management lifecycle practices;
  • University degree with a specialization in information management, library sciences, technology or related field;
  • A Master’s degree in library and/or information studies from an ALA accredited or equivalent institution would be ideal;

Qualifications:

  • Business and industry acumen regarding records and document management and familiarity with ISO Standards (e.g. ISO 15489, ISO 30300, ANSI/NISO Z39.85, etc.) and industry best practices;
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing the information lifecycle and applying information management principles, concepts, and theories to business solutions;
  • Experience designing, developing and implementing Enterprise Content Management solutions utilizing web applications, including document management, taxonomy, content classification, and workflow;
  • Previous experience in developing content taxonomies and enterprise search capabilities;
  • Industry knowledge related to pipelines and Information Management is an asset;
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, negotiation, and influencing capabilities;
  • Excellent communication skills including written, oral and presentation capabilities;
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple activities and work under pressure with tight deadlines;
  • Self-motivated and able to provide guidance to others;
  • Commitment to quality and customer service;

Skills:

  • Completion of a Records and Information Management diploma/certificate from an accredited institution;
  • Business and industry acumen regarding records and document management and familiarity with ISO Standards (e.g. ISO 15489, ISO 30300, ANSI/NISO Z39.85, etc.) and industry best practices;
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing the information lifecycle and applying information management principles, concepts, and theories to business solutions;
