Cerner Analyst- On behalf of our client, Procom Consultants Group is currently searching for a Senior Cerner Analyst for our client within the Healthcare Industry.
Cerner Analyst Job Details:
Assess the current project scope and schedule to understand the tasks and deliverables assigned to the CRD team, and to recommend additional areas of participation/input required to ensure a successful project outcome.
Participate in the determination of solutions to generate from Cerner selected records and document types to be assembled into clinical reports for electronic distribution to care providers.
Design & develop workflows, triggers, events, rules and conditions to enable clinical workflows for automated and manual report distribution.
Establish high-level solutions, validate feasibility and develop (using Cerner tools and configurations) additional features such as ad-hoc reporting and patient copying.
Liaise and coordinate with the Cerner design, build & integration team for project dependencies and joint activities such as design and testing.
Advise on the use of content coding (SNOMED, LOINC, etc.) and structured documentation where technically feasible and advisable.
Advise on the clinical relevance and usability of the reports, participate in scope and impact assessments, participate in clinical design sessions and change management activities as required.
Determine fallback solutions where electronic distribution is not possible, such as RRD (Cerner remote faxing).
Coach the CRD team on Cerner best practices as relates to documentation and external reports distribution to enable realization of benefits (e.g., improved access to clinical information for patients and physicians, reducing paper and costs).
Conduct ongoing knowledge transfer sessions to designated staff.
Generally recommend/advise optimal approaches from previous successful implementation experience for consideration to ensure a successful project outcome.
Cerner Analyst Mandatory Skills:
Experience in the generation and distribution of clinical reports/documentation from Cerner systems, preferably using standards such as HL7 CCD.
Demonstrated experience in a Cerner-based environment, including Cerner Millenium-related tools, modules and applications.
Demonstrated knowledge of practice in a Canadian clinical setting.
