Job Summary:

As Event Coordinator, you will support the Event Manager to execute the event plan and bring our events to life! You will work on multiple events and must understand the various elements required and how they are all part of the big picture.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Event Manager to develop and execute event logistics plans; including attendee experience, production and budgeting
  • Work within deadlines for multiple events and prioritize tasks
  • Provide support in the form of meeting agendas and minutes, email communication, social media, etc.
  • Oversee critical path time-lines and deliverables for projects.
  • Write creative briefs, clearly identifying the goals of the project, direction & guidelines
  • On-site event execution
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitors and best practices
  • Venue and vendor coordination and logistics (sourcing and communicating deliverables)
  • Be a brand ambassador for Power Play and continually work towards developing fresh campaigns
  • Complete post-event analysis and debriefs

What we’re looking for?

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of event coordination experience
  • Fundraising and non-profit event experience would be considered a valuable asset
  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing or other related field of study
  • Proven ability to oversee multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop professional relationships
  • Proven to perform well under pressure; manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible to changing internal and client needs
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Demonstrates a level of enthusiasm and energy towards the work
  • Strong research and organizational skills; ability to meet tight deadlines and to work effectively in a position with multiple dependencies.
  • Takes initiative and very detailed-oriented
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Be a team player willing to learn
