The Biology Department at Concordia University (Dr. Vincent Martin lab) is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position to work within a recently funded NSERC Strategic Network on Industrial Biocatalysis. The project will revolve around developing yeast strains with applications in chemicals and natural products. This project is in collaboration with Dr Mahadevan from the Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry Department at the University of Toronto, and our industrial partner Lallemand Inc.

Applicants must have a PhD in Microbiology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields; strong technical expertise in molecular biology, a demonstration of publications directly related to these areas of research and an excellent knowledge of the literature related to yeast metabolic engineering.

The position is available immediately and will be for up to 3 years.
