We Are Hiring Now for Summer Term Positions!

These May to September summer term positions are a great opportunity to gain work experience in a dynamic fast paced team oriented environment.

Previous experience is not required for this position; training, support and guidance will be provided to ensure success in the role.

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for May to September summer term positions to work as Shipper/Receiver. Individuals are required to work Monday to Friday Days

This role is responsible for the processing and handling of all inbound and outbound shipments of PBL product, material and supplies in an efficient timely manner, meeting shipment schedules. Load and unload trailers/trucks, organize pallets according to weight restrictions and customer specs, prep outbound shipments, examine trucks and trailers for security purposes, deliver materials to departments, ensure warehouse in organized and tidy and complete inventory counts. This role will be required to operate all department material handling equipment (forklift, power pallet jack, cherry picker, clamp truck); training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School or general education degree (GED)
• Basic computer skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated success working effectively in fast pace team orientated environment
• Physically capable of lifting up to 40 – 50 lbs and standing/walking for long periods
• Adaptable, flexible with a positive attitude to work where needed within the assigned department
• Strong mechanical aptitude is an asset (press assistant)
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment with knowledge of WHMIS and safe work procedures would be considered an asset
