We’re hiring a Bulk Plant Operator/Professional Transport Driver to join our Operations team. This team aims to ensure the safe delivery of products and services to our customers . As a key member of this team, you maintain, troubleshoot, and perform daily checks at the Bulk Plant as well as deliver fuel to our residential and commercial customers. Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager you will be championed to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of the Bulk Plant and uphold Pepco’s top-quality customer service while completing deliveries.

Key Responsibilities**

  • Daily site inspections & inventory reconciliation;
  • Maintenance duties for the building, yard, and equipment;
  • Troubleshoot breakdowns/mechanical issues;
  • Complete safety checks and document results;
  • Some heavy lifting and labour work, including snow shoveling;
  • Driving delivery truck safely, adhering to all DOT regulations and procedures;
  • Working with our dispatch team to coordinate deliveries to residential and commercial customers;
  • Planning route using knowledge of geography, routes, zones, etc.;
  • Loading delivery truck with required product while adhering to all safety standards;
  • Completing daily shift reports and other required paperwork;
  • Completing of pre and post trip inspections;
  • Attending mandatory safety meetings and safety call ins;

Our ideal candidate

  • Valid class 3 drivers license with air brake endorsement and clean drivers abstract;
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant driving experience;
  • High School diploma or G.E.D required;
  • Previous oil industry experience an asset;
  • Previous mechanical and maintenance experience an asset;
  • Basic mathematical skills and computer skills required;
  • Capable of doing very physical work;
  • Able to work flexible shifts; including shift work and on call duties;
  • TDG, WHMIS, and First Aid Certification considered an asset;
  • Strong commitment to safety;
  • Positive attitude and strong customer service skills;
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail;
  • Integrity and ethical work standards;
