Responsibilities

This opportunity is with our Pharmacy detailing division, which partners with top tier pharmaceutical, consumer, medical device and biotechnology companies to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies.

PEAK Pharma Solutions is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented professional for the role of Pharmacy Sales Representative to support a sales/marketing program on behalf of a well-established pharmaceutical organization in Canada. In this role, you’ll work to promote this organization’s consumer brands in the pharmacy environment. You’ll be an integral part of developing a local pharmacy presence on behalf of our client. You will:

• Using Peak Pharma’s high quality, consistent selling approach, meet your objectives by focusing on building strategic partnerships with pharmacists to achieve high-quality, exclusive, brand recommendations
• Develop and execute your territory’s business plan
• Adhere to assigned call targets as communicated by the Field Manager
• Present the brands’ key features and benefits and creatively inform stakeholders about their value
• Manage and track literature and samples in pharmacy to maximize activation of brand recommendations by the health care professional
• Engage in meaningful dialogue that addresses the needs of the various pharmacy stakeholders (pharmacist, pharmacy techs, category managers, etc.)
• Build trust and credibility to become a true collaborator in commercial success
• Manage and maintain expense and promotional budgets for the territory within guidelines
• Ensure merchandising excellence and planogram requirements are met
• Gather and report on field insights by accurately recording daily activities using a CRM system
• Attend various conferences and meetings

Requirements

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has:

• 2+ years recent successful pharmacy sales experience, preferably in the area of consumer/OTC brands at the Shoppers Drug Mart chain
• Experience merchandising a line of products and planogram allocation confirmation
• Documented proven and consistent track record of achieving sales results in recent years, demonstrated by national and/or regional rankings, awards and goal achievement
• Recent experience in the geography (local market knowledge and existing relationships with target pharmacies) preferred
• Ability to travel and possess a valid driver’s licence to drive to assigned pharmacy accounts unless otherwise specified
• The drive for self-development, the ability to collaborate, and an action-oriented work ethic
• Entrepreneurial spirit that results in innovative ideas that best serves the mandate of the program.
