requires a Full-Time Temporary
Communications Coordinator
from December 14, 2015 to May 6, 2016

The Division provides education services to approximately 3,000 students at 20 schools in the North Peace region of northwestern Alberta. This position is at the Division’s Central Office located in the Town of Peace River.

Responsibilities will include:

• maintenance of the media relations program
• provide Crisis Communication Support as required
• preparation of media releases, board highlights and various school and divisional articles
• provide leadership in building support for public education through communication
• maintenance of the Division’s websites and social media
• attend selected school and divisional events
• attend Board meetings
• provide communication support for the divisional staff Gala

Desirable Qualifications:

• formal post-secondary education in the field of communication
• experience in communications and/or public relations
