Salary: $ 27.06 to $ 29.52 hourly
Benefits: 10-15% of regular hourly rate in lieu of vacation, holiday entitlement, sick leave, health and welfare benefits, depending on Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan pension enrolment option.

Pathways for Children and Youth is the Lead Agency for Child and Youth Mental Health in Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox and Addington Counties serving children and youth, birth to eighteen years, and their families. The agency is also the Regional Lead for Autism Services for the South East region, offering Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI), Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) based Services and Supports and the School Support Program (SSP). Pathways has been accredited by the Canadian Centre for Accreditation in Organisational Standards and in Child and Youth Mental Health.

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Provide skill based assessment, intervention and follow-up services with children, youth and families participating in intensive in-home child and family services.
  • Provide psychoeducational and treatment groups, and individualized treatment follow-up for group participants.
  • Evening work is required and possibly some weekend work.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Child and Youth Worker Diploma and/or Diploma/Degree in Behavioural Sciences/Child, Youth and Family Studies with courses completed in child development, child behaviour, working with families and counselling skills;
  • A minimum of two year’s full-time paid work experience with children, youth and families providing mental health services;
  • Group facilitation skills are an asset;
  • Preference will be given to those candidates who are bilingual;
  • Valid Province of Ontario driver’s license as well as automobile insurance with a minimum liability of one million dollars for business purposes;
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment health assessment.
