Our client is currently searching for an IT Technical Consultant who is looking to work in a team focused, collaborative and supportive work environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting and working closely with a wide variety of clientele in delivering IT Services onsite and remotely as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain server backups, server and network infrastructure and coordinate hardware and software issues, moves, deployment and optimization;
  • Coordinate hardware and software issues;
  • Manage and respond to server alerts from monitoring system – 24×7;
  • Provide after-hours support to all urgent and emergency requests of team members;
  • Estimate levels of effort and costs for proposed Infrastructure projects;
  • Provide knowledge, guidelines and technical leadership;
  • Provide IT infrastructure solutions;
  • Assist Team Managers with delivering presentations and client proposals that provide comprehensive recommendations IT technologies to a wide variety of audiences;
  • Perform technical trouble shooting, solution delivery and completion of client service calls and projects;
  • Provide innovative and flexible recommendations to clients that meet business and technical requirements of the client;
  • Develop lasting customer relationships;
  • Prioritize and execute tasks;

Qualifications:

Broad experience in the following areas:

  • Microsoft Windows Server;
  • Cloud Technologies (Azure, Office365);
  • Microsoft Exchange Server;
  • Server Hardware;
  • Storage Solutions (Storagecraft, Veeam);
  • Hold at least one current certification (related to network or server admin) or willing to attain certifications;
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail;
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;
  • Strong time management skills;
  • A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to excel with a flexible work schedule and collaborative work environment;
  • Excellent client facing abilities and proven track-record of developing and maintaining outstanding client relationships.

Specific experience in the following areas:

  • Server Virtualization (VMware, HyperV);
  • Terminal Services;
  • Network Administration (inter-office networks, Fortigate networking hardware).
