Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Civil Engineer, based in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
Job Description
Responsible for Safety, Security, Health, Environment (SSHE) within own team.
Responsible for implementing all SSHE rules and requirements into documents issued by the engineering team.
Analyse and conclude design issues for information that is necessary for establishing the technical background for design work.
Ensure that design basis, rules and regulations are implemented into design work.
Coordinate all information necessary for establishing the technical background for documentation.
Ensure that constructability and special requirements are included in the design work.
Skills and Experience
Candidates must have a recognized degree in engineering in civil/structural discipline and be registered or eligible for registration with PEGNL.
Moderate experience from structural engineering of offshore structures, or heavy reinforced structures.
Good knowledge in the areas of Reinforced Concrete Design and Post-Tension Design.
Good knowledge in FEM (Finite Element) Analysis would be an asset.
GBS design experience is an asset.
Understanding of construction /engineering collaborations.
Applicants must be eligible for licensure with Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL).
Azerbaijan local national salary and employment terms apply.
Applicants should be applicable for work in the United States.
SC/DV clearance is preferred but not essential for this role.
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
