MLSE is currently seeking a Director, Ticket Operations, Administration & Reporting. As a key member of our MLSE LIVE, Finance and Ticket Sales & Membership leadership teams, you will be responsible for both the oversight of day to day box office operations across all MLSE venues and as well as Ticket Administration & Reporting functions. MLSE’s venue portfolio includes Air Canada Centre, home of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors, BMO Field, the home of Toronto FC and Toronto Argonauts, and Ricoh Coliseum, home of the Toronto Marlies and many Live events including the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair and Toronto Boat Show.

In this role, you will be responsible for the vision and strategic projects for MLSE’s box office operations, including, but not limited to, managing major projects that improve our ticket operations, coaching and leading the Ticket Operations and Ticket Administration & Reporting teams, execute events, reviewing and approving: event settlements, renewals, ticket deliveries and working strategically with the Ticket Sales and Service teams to help meet their objectives and execute their ticketing plans. The successful candidate will also be responsible for financial reporting based on ticket sales and renewals for our four teams and leagues.

  • Responsible for all major team projects, including but not limited to: operational technical enhancement projects, season seat renewals, invoicing, ticket printing and delivery.
  • Lead a team of 75 full-time and part-time staff that are responsible for all ticketing builds and ticket operations execution for all venue, teams and concert events. Working knowledge and build capacity on Ticketmaster Archtics and Host ticket systems.
  • Responsible for managing the department budgets and working with finance on monthly financial results.
  • Ensure settlements and financial balancing are complete each business day and review and approve weekly reporting, as set out by the leagues, including daily event sales reports and audits.
  • Ensure our Box Office staff provide an elevated experience for Fans attending our events, and that all customer service issues and needs are promptly addressed.
  • Work directly with event promoters from event build through show settlement post event, providing a best in class experience to our promoting partners, including the scaling and pricing of event manifests.
  • Provide exceptional fan service both internally and externally to all vendors, promoters, league and clients.
  • Work closely with internal clients on events and transfers, as well as with vendors regarding developments, issues and strategy. Manage all Ticket Operations internal controls, including cash and other financial controls.
  • Work directly with Ticketmaster to ensure our systems are up to date and operating efficiently, effectively, and harnessing all the tools available to make our box office best in class.
  • Oversee our Ticket Administration and Reporting team to ensure optimal performance across all ticketing operations.
  • Lead and develop and ensure collaboration between all full and part-time staff members within our Ticket Operations, Ticket Office and Ticket Administration & Reporting teams.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as requested.


  • University Degree with a focus in Business Finance and Reporting is an asset
  • 5 years or more working within a Sports and/or Entertainment business
  • Proven ability to successfully lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and one team approach
  • Experience working within a live entertainment and sporting ticketing environment with knowledge of Ticketmaster Host and Archtics ticketing systems
  • Previous experience and knowledge of administration and reporting
  • Proven ability to work on a senior leadership team and communicate and work effectively with executives
  • Experience providing exceptional service to, and settling events with, event promoters is an asset
  • Exceptional communication and networking skills, with the ability to effectively build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Comfortable and capable of delivering within a deadline-driven environment, utilizing time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to enhance and lead a positive, innovative and encouraging work environment
