Job Summary

Approx. 2 Months (Starting as soon as possible)

Hours:

Ideally 30 hours per week, up to full-time. Can be flexible for staff wanting fewer hours

(core hours: 10:00 am – 3:30 pm)

Role Summary:

The Production Assistant is responsible for assembling product, picking orders and preparing packages for both domestic and international shipping to tight deadlines. They are required to work within set guidelines and procedures, yet remain open-minded and responsive to changes which will optimize practices within the team. They will also be involved in the receipt of goods in process, are responsible for proper handling and counting of inventory.

They will be expected to portray a professional image of the company at all times.

Main Duties:

Logistics

• receiving and checking goods in for accuracy of delivery, and condition of goods.
• assembly of sample and participant sets in preparation for shipping according to set procedures, and generating completion reports
• maintaining the warehouse to high health and safety, cleanliness and organization standards
• working as a team to meet assembly and shipping deadlines
• working on projects to help improve and maintain quality standards within the BioLogistics team

Administration

• reporting of Non-Conforming materials and goods to the BioLogistics Manager

Additional Duties

• carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the post and its grading

Personal Attributes

The post-holder will have:

• completed high-school certification
• hepatitis B immunization
• a passion for accuracy and customer service
• great problem-solving skills
• great focus and attention to detail
• an impeccable character and high ethical standards
• a preference for challenging, fast-paced work environment
• strong written, and verbal skills in English
• the ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure,
• an ability to work independently, but also works effectively as part of a team

Ideally they will also have:

• previous production experience

Job Type: Temporary

Salary: $14.00 / hour
