This is an Ontario Job Creation Partnership (OJCP), which is an employment program sponsored by Employment Ontario. To participate, you must be unemployed and have an established claim (or an established claim that ended in the last three years) for Employment Insurance Benefits, or received Maternity / Parental benefits that began in the last five years after which you remained out of the labour market, and are now seeking to re-enter the work force.

Primary Focus: Assist with upgrading administrative practices and procedures for efficiency gains

Job Duties:

  • Assist with conference and training program logistics, scheduling and materials production
  • Establish process for environmental scanning for emergent issues, policy developments for E.D.’s attention
  • Assist with development of annual operations cycle with milestones; suggestions for administrative/office changes for efficiencies
  • Curate and archive documents and materials including reordering off-site records secure storage/deletion
  • Update membership, distribution and related lists with accurate information
  • Support strategic plans for membership growth and earned income enterprise developments and change management/implementation
  • Help with customer/stakeholder survey support re service satisfaction, unmet needs/preferences
  • Update procedures and practices manual and RSS feeds and other environmental scanning resources & creation of easy links
  • Draft summary activities report with recommendations for operations improvements.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years work experience in office administration
  • College or technical school post-secondary degree in business administration an asset
  • Fluent written and verbal French a definite asset
  • Proficiency in learning IT tools and software applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Self- motivated, proven initiative-taker and results oriented with a good eye for details
  • Ability to travel if required to off-site locations for occasional events, meetings.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $490.00 /week
