Odan Laboratories Ltd. is a Canadian based pharmaceutical company, manufacturing both generics and speciality products. We are expanding our sales force in Canada and therefore have an employment opportunity in the Halifax, NS area for a Pharmaceutical Representative ( pharmacists ONLY).

Position Summary

With the title of Representative, your primary role will be to represent the company by calling on only pharmacists in your territory. Responsible for a geographical area (your territory), you will be asked to drive the business by promoting our products to pharmacists.

Position Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Representative are to develop sales within the territory, identify and explore sales opportunities, develop an excellent relationship with clients and to effectively position the company’s products while responding to the needs of our customers.

  • Analyse historical sales within the territory and identify new opportunities.
  • Outline an action plan which will reach sales objectives and develop the full potential of the territory.
  • Map out the action plan, and reach high levels of visits and communication with our clients.
  • Reach a superior level of product knowledge in order to better comprehend the needs of the clients and the method of positioning the company’s products to better meet their needs.
  • Plan and realize sales events and continuing presentation activities in order to facilitate the client’s adoption of our products.

Required Experience and Education

  • A minimum of 2 years of pharmacy sales experience in the generic pharmaceutical industry
  • University Degree ( Bachelor’s Degree)

  • Autonomous and highly motivated
  • Intrinsically motivated to identify and seek out new business opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Focused on value-added selling
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office programs
  • Negotiating skills
