In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Clinical Practice Consultant practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) as well as within a patient and family centered care model.

The Clinical Practice Consultant is to champion, guide and lead the delivery of a comprehensive program for clients, including the enhancement of the regional specialist services. The Clinical Practice Consultant will promote the delivery of quality client care by providing clinical consultation and expertise, education and direction based on a specialized body of knowledge. This position supports the seamless movement of patients through the healthcare system and with accessing appropriate resources. This role will collaborate with other clinical experts, community inter-professional teams and primary care homes; research and evaluate current standards of care, facilitate the development and implementation of program policies and procedures, education programs for staff and quality improvement initiatives and incorporate evidence based ‘best practices’.

Qualifications

Graduation from an approved school of Nursing with a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
Three years recent related clinical experience AND two years recent supervisory and adult teaching experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Advanced preparation and/or certification in the clinical specialty area.
Current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses’ of BC (CRNBC).
Experience with Telehealth.
Current CPR certification.
Valid motor vehicle license.
