Summary of Job Description
The Business Analyst, Hospitality Services will design and implement technology solutions based on current and evolving business requirements. Highly focused on guest services, including front desk, housekeeping, facilities management, and culinary, the Business Analyst will provide assistance, advice, problem solving, and technical support to the Property Management System (PMS) and other integrated technology solutions. As a member of the Corporate Systems team, the Business Analyst will manage all components of system solution design for hospitality services while working closely with other team members and key stakeholders across the organization. The Business Analyst, Hospitality Services will also provide front line support to the user community and be responsible for improving the overall end user experience.
The position will be based in Nisku Office with regular travel to all Lodges to ensure understanding of requirements from various perspectives and all divisions.
Business Analyst, Hospitality Services – Role Responsibilities Lead the system solution design for all hospitality functions aligned to the Corporate System Strategy. Work directly with senior management and divisional experts to clearly define business requirements. Develop business blueprints, training material and other material as part of the system implementation process. Provide front line of support to all divisions impacted by the Property Management System. Prioritize user support requests and routes to appropriate team members for action. Maintain an issue list and track the progress of solution designs and problem resolution. Work with various team members to effectively resolve incidents and problems. Regularly report issue progress and developments to the Manager, Corporate Systems and project sponsors. Deliver effective end user training and promote knowledge transfer within the team and other business units. Actively participate in the testing and deployment of system updates. Contribute to developing and improving systems, process and training initiatives. Setup and maintain user system access according to established procedures. Act as an ambassador for Noralta Lodge in all dealings with the public and internal team members. Be familiar with and carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with Health & Safety policies approved by Noralta Lodge along with Occupational Health & Safety regulations. Such other duties that may be required that falls within the parameters of the position as assigned.

Business Analyst, Hospitality Services – Skills, Aptitudes, and Credentials Post-secondary diploma, degree, professional accreditation in a relevant field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years related experience providing system analysis, processing mapping, and end user support. Minimum 5+ years’ experience managing and implementing property management systems. Prior experience designing solutions for workforce camps considered an asset. Ability to understand and design system solutions based on financial requirements. Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and Outlook. Capacity to quickly understand business processes and drive efficiency through technology. System implementation and project management experience is required. Experience in a technical or application support environment is an asset. Ability to balance and prioritize incoming support issues. Proven ability to be creative with flexible problem-solving skills. Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Effective time management skills. Analytical, prioritization, and execution skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to execute under stress and with frequent interruptions. Strong work ethic with attention to work life balance.

Reports to: Manager, Corporate Systems.

Hours of Work: Eight hours per day, Monday through Friday. Regular travel required. Overtime as required.
