JOB DESCRIPTION

This role represents an excellent opportunity for a Microsoft Business Intelligence trained and experienced developer to join a great team of Business Intelligence Professionals. The position requires the applicant to have in depth knowledge of the Microsoft Business Intelligence tools (MSSQL 2012, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, SharePoint 2013 and PowerBI).

The Sr. Developer is responsible for leading development efforts in the Microsoft Datawarehouse environment which consists of several Virtual Machines, and has multiple business clients running independent Adhoc reporting environments. The Microsoft Sr. Developer will have experience designing, developing, supporting and implementing complex Microsoft BI datamarts and multidimensional data modeling using SSAS and Tabular methods.
Responsibilities:
Clearly understand business requirements and system specifications
Understand technical design and implementation details.
Design and Develop accurate and complete Project deliverables as defined in System Specification Document (SSD) and Detailed Design Document (DDD)
Focus on data presentation to business users, information access, reporting elements and outputs
Conduct development and unit testing according to plan.
Ensure development components are delivered on time and according to BI standards
Identify and document system deficiencies and recommend solutions Participate in defining Test Strategy, Test Cases and Test conditions
Provide regular updates and identify issues to Manager
Provide training to users on how to run reports as required

Qualifications
A college or university degree in computer science or related experience
7 or more years’ experience as a Microsoft BI developer/DBA using SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Tabular methods and SharePoint 2013
Knowledge of BI architectures, relational and dimensional data modeling
Experience delivering data warehouse solutions including data extraction (ETL), reporting and ad hoc analysis tools
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and with others
Strong relational database skills (Oracle, MSSQL, Teradata)
Proficient in PL/SQL.?Experience working in a data warehouse environment
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
