Responsibilities:

  • Proactively develop and maintain contact with all key accounts to drive business within the communications market.
  • Follow-up on specifications and provide support throughout the ordering and installation processes. When opportunity arises, put forth necessary efforts to secure orders.
  • Develop the Division’s competitive advantage, strengthening its “unique selling proposition” and positions the Division for both customers by utilizing our key suppliers. Become a source of competitive market knowledge. Research new product lines within our existing categories for comparison and possible conversion.
  • Conduct on-site company and product training for contractors, internal staff, and end-users as required.
  • Upon request actively participate in the marketing support programs (trade shows, dinner meetings, joint calls) that are planned in the territory by the District Manager.
  • Help branches to develop business plans with key suppliers, monitor their effectiveness and progress and adjust as required.
  • Update reports and logs on a monthly basis.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • College Degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the datacom, premise wiring, or IT industries preferred.
  • Excellent sales abilities and knowledge of the datacom industry.
  • Demonstrable experience and past success developing and executing strategic plans and increasing sales productivity through sales enablement initiatives.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent abilities in areas of interpersonal relations, judgment, creative thinking and prioritization.
  • Must be highly proficient in using the Microsoft Applications.
