Establishes new accounts within credit policy and guidelines.
Performs financial statement analysis as necessary for credit risk review.
Assists with credit approval of orders and projects.
Applies expertise and knowledge of collection techniques to optimize sales and minimize losses from slow receivables and bad debt.
Manages the maintenance database.
Involved in account reconciliations.
Assists in customer service issues.

Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements:
2-5 years of relevant experience, preference given to those familiar to working within a distribution credit environment
Successful collection background
Strong level of self-confidence and negotiating abilities while being able to deliver diplomacy and superior customer relations when dealing with sensitive, confidential matters
Excellent organization skills and priority setting skills
Strong written and verbal skills
Experience with legal contracts and the Lien Act of BC
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
Experience using AS400
Detail and analytically oriented
Ability to meet deadlines
Business Acumen
Composure
Time Management
Desire to take responsibility for the completion of assigned work
Team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision
